Getting Started

Thank you for joining Hey Bodie – your home’s new best friend. Here’s how to get started:


1. Add Your Property

  • From the main menu, select Dashboard, then Properties.
  • Click [+ Add Property] to add your primary residence address and details.

2. Track Home Expenses & Maintenance

  • From the main menu, select Dashboard, then Expense Records.
  • Click [+ Add New] to enter a record for an expense or maintenance item.
  • Select your new property.
  • Optionally, attach receipts or photos to each record.
  • Add a few more maintenance records.

3. Generate Your Property Report

  • From the main menu, select Dashboard, then Properties.
  • Under your property, click on [Report]. This is your Property Report.
  • Click on Download PDF.
  • Email the report to yourself.

4. Set Reminders & Checklists

  • From the main menu, select Dashboard, then Reminders.
  • Add a reminder. It can be for anything at all, or you can associate it with an expense.
  • From the main menu, select Dashboard, then Checklist.
  • Add your home TO DO items here.

5. Export or View Your Data

  • From the main menu, select Dashboard, then Data Export.
  • Under Maintenance Records, generate a CSV or PDF extract of your records.
  • All exports are saved and visible on the page.

6. Tell a Friend

  • From the main menu, select Dashboard, then Overview.
  • In the Tell a Friend box, enter the email address of someone you think might like Hey Bodie!
  • If they become a Bodie Basic or Bodie Pro subscriber, we’ll give you $10 off your next Hey Bodie renewal.
